You Like Us! You Really Like Us!: Splice Machine Takes 2nd Place in the Strata Startup Showcase

If you’re an avid reader of this blog or follow Splice Machine on Twitter, you’ll remember that a few days ago, we announced that we were chosen to partake in Strata’s Startup Showcase event at the O’Reilly Strata Conference in Santa Clara.

The event happened last night and we’re proud to announce that Splice Machine placed in second!

Here’s the nitty-gritty. The O’Reilly Strata team chose 11 Big Data startups to participate in this year’s event. At the Startup Showcase, we presented a short product demo to our peers and 12 prominent judges. The judges, who hailed from high-impact organizations in the industry, then chose the Top 3 Startups based on technology, team and offering. Among them, in second place, was Splice Machine!

Strata’s Startup Showcase brings in the most innovative startup companies. We were thrilled to have been chosen to participate in the competition, but to place second is a huge honor and positive reinforcement of the work that we have put into the Splice SQL Engine.
