Splice Machine Named a 2014 “Cool Vendor” by Gartner
April 25, 2014
Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, has named Splice Machine a “Cool Vendor” in its 2014 DBMS report.
So, what is this “Cool Vendor” report?
Each year, Gartner identifies new “Cool Vendors” in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports highlighting pioneering vendors and their products and services.
As the provider of the only Hadoop RDBMS, Splice Machine enables companies to replace traditional RDBMS systems that are too costly or difficult to scale. Splice Machine is a full-featured, transactional SQL database on Hadoop that moves Hadoop beyond its batch analytics heritage to power operational applications and real-time analytics
We would also like to congratulate fellow “Cool Vendor” winners Neo Technology, Sqrrl, and Tokutek for innovating in the DBMS space!
