Cloudera Enterprise 5

We’re proud to share that Splice Machine is bringing the power of a transactional real-time SQL-on-Hadoop RDBMS into the world’s largest ecosystem of enterprise Hadoop vendors and service providers. Splice Machine has joined the Cloudera Connect Partner Program, after certifying on Cloudera 5, the latest generation of Cloudera’s platform for Big Data. Now, more companies can build real-time Hadoop applications.

This is a milestone we are particularly proud of, as we gear up to launch our public beta offering later this month. With our successful partnerships with the three market-leading Hadoop distributors (Cloudera, Hortonworks, and MapR), we can continue to maximize the potential of Hadoop and our unique approach to real-time Hadoop.

Joining the Cloudera Connect Partner Program extends our penetration into a partner network with more than 800 global members, such as system integrators, hardware vendors, ISVs in the data management and analytics space, and scores of regional integrators. We are enabling Cloudera users to tap into real-time updates with transactional integrity and standard ANSI SQL, important features for companies that are looking to become real-time, data-driven businesses.

Splice Machine is the only Hadoop RDBMS designed for Big Data applications. As more enterprises run up against scaling or cost issues, we anticipate that Splice Machine will be a popular replacement for traditional RDBMSs such as Oracle, MySQL, IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Now, they’ll have the benefit of being able to take advantage of the latest innovation from both Splice Machine and Cloudera. Stay tuned for our public beta offering later this month!
